## Shakespeare's Birthplace
In 1847, the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust acquired the dilapidated Henley Street house, believed to be William Shakespeare's birthplace, and initiated extensive restoration efforts. By 1871, the house had been transformed into a museum, offering visitors a glimpse into the playwright's early life. The adjacent Shakespeare Centre, completed in 1964, houses the Trust's library and collections, further enriching the visitor experience. Today, the Birthplace stands as a testament to Shakespeare's enduring legacy, attracting millions of visitors annually.
