## Liverpool Town Hall
Liverpool Town Hall, completed in 1754, was designed by John Wood the Elder to replace an earlier structure. The building's ground floor served as an exchange for merchants and traders, while the upper floor housed council rooms and offices. In 1795, a fire caused significant damage, leading to extensive rebuilding and the addition of a distinctive dome designed by James Wyatt. The hall is now a Grade I listed building, recognized as "one of the finest surviving 18th-century town halls." (en.wikipedia.org) It continues to serve as a civic suite, housing the Lord Mayor's parlour, Council Chamber, and a Hall of Remembrance dedicated to Liverpool servicemen who perished in World War I.
