## Haddon Hall
In 1920, the 9th Duke of Rutland initiated a meticulous restoration of Haddon Hall, a Grade I listed manor house in Derbyshire, to preserve its medieval and Tudor features. (en.wikipedia.org) This effort was completed in 1930 under the supervision of Clerk of Works Leonard Stanhope. (her.derbyshire.gov.uk) The hall, dating back to the 11th century, had remained largely unaltered for nearly two centuries, as the Manners family preferred to reside at Belvoir Castle. (haddonhall.co.uk) Today, it stands as a testament to England's architectural heritage, featuring a 14th-century Banqueting Hall, a Tudor-panelled Parlour, and a 110-foot Elizabethan Long Gallery. (creativetourist.com) In 2024, Haddon Hall was awarded the Historic Houses Sustainability Award, recognising its commitment to environmental best practices. (historichouses.org)
