The World's End pub in Camden Town, London, traces its origins to 1690, when it was known as the Halfway House, serving travellers on the road from London to Hampstead and Highgate. By 1751, it was operating as the Mother Red Cap, a name it retained until the late 18th century. The current building, designed by H.H. Bridgman, dates from 1875. In 1988, entrepreneur Andrew Marler expanded the pub's capacity to 1,000 and added the 500-capacity Underworld music venue beneath it. Over the years, The World's End has hosted numerous bands, including Radiohead and The Cranberries, and remains a significant landmark in Camden's vibrant music scene. (en.wikipedia.org)
