## The Old Inn, St Breward
The Old Inn in St Breward, Cornwall, claims to have been established in the 11th century, coinciding with the construction of the adjacent parish church. Originally serving as accommodation for monks building the church, it is believed to have begun operating as a public house in the 15th century. The earliest documented landlord is John Jory, recorded in 1806. In 1930, the inn became tied to the Redruth Brewery (Devenish) but reverted to a freehouse in 1975 when purchased by Mr. and Mrs. Goodenough. The current owner, Darren Wills, has been at the helm since 1999, overseeing significant refurbishments, including the restoration of a granite fireplace uncovered behind the front bar.
