## St Ann's Gate, Salisbury
St Ann's Gate, constructed around 1331, is a Grade I listed building in Salisbury's Cathedral Close. Originally part of the cathedral's defensive walls, it features a two-storey stone gatehouse with a low, two-centred arch. The upper room, once a chapel dedicated to St Ann, was later converted into a music room. In the 18th century, it became part of Malmesbury House, where composer George Frideric Handel is said to have performed. Today, the building houses an architectural firm, St Ann's Gate Architects.
