King's College Chapel in Cambridge, founded in 1441 by Henry VI, began construction in 1446. The Wars of the Roses disrupted progress, but under Richard III's patronage, work resumed, and by 1515, the main structure was completed. The chapel's fan-vaulted ceiling, the largest in Europe, and its stained-glass windows are renowned examples of late Gothic architecture. The wooden chancel screen, erected between 1532 and 1536 during Henry VIII's reign, exemplifies early Renaissance design. Today, the chapel remains an active place of worship and is home to the world-famous Choir of King's College, Cambridge. (kings.cam.ac.uk)
