The stone monument in the centre of the road remains a prominent feature in both images, but its condition has improved in the modern photograph—cleaner stonework and removed iron fixtures show clearly. The original old photograph features a horse-drawn cart with wooden wheels in the foreground, whereas the modern scene shows no such vehicles, just a few cars parked further down the street. The road layout appears largely unchanged, with the monument still occupying the same central position, but the modern image shows painted white lines marking lanes, indicating contemporary traffic regulations. The surrounding walls and trees remain visible but appear to have matured, with more dense foliage in the colour image. Signage is minimal in the old photo but more evident today, including a hanging sign attached to the stonework on the left, reflecting current business activity along the street.
