In 1803, Leominster Council constructed the first Corn Exchange in Corn Square to bolster trade. This hall, which could accommodate up to 500 people, also hosted various events. In 1911, the Leominster Cinema Company began screening films there. Following the Corn Exchange's closure in 1922, the company acquired the building, renaming it the Picture House, which operated until the 1960s. (leominsterheartandheritage.co.uk)
