## Sir William Moyle's Almshouses
In 1583, Sir William Moyle constructed the almshouses in St Germans, Cornwall, to provide shelter for the poor. The building comprises twelve one-room apartments, six on each floor, with the upper rooms opening onto a gallery along the front, accessible by stairs at either end. This design is unique among almshouses. In the 20th century, the structure was converted into four separate dwellings. Recognized for its architectural significance, it is a Grade II* listed building. (thewrennreport.co.uk)
