Milsons Point Railway Station, officially opened on 19 March 1932, was constructed as part of the northern approaches to the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Initially named Kirribilli Station, it was renamed before its inauguration. The station comprises two platforms on either side of the bridge's roadway, with the western platforms serving the North Shore line and the eastern pair originally designated for a tramway service between Wynyard and the northern suburbs. The tramway and associated platforms were removed in 1958 to accommodate the conversion of lanes 7 and 8 of the Harbour Bridge into the Cahill Expressway. (en.wikipedia.org)
