In 1574, Faversham's Guildhall was constructed as a market hall, featuring a ground-floor arcade supported by three rows of octagonal columns. In 1605, it was repurposed as the town's third guildhall. A significant fire in 1814 led to its reconstruction in the neoclassical style by Charles Drayson, who added a clock tower and extended the building. The clock, dated 1814, was crafted by local clockmaker Francis Crow. The council chamber's wooden panels list mayors dating back to the late 13th century. The Guildhall remains a Grade II* listed building and continues to serve as the meeting place for Faversham Town Council. (en.wikipedia.org)
