## Wonderland Sydney

On 7 December 1985, Wonderland Sydney, then known as Australia's Wonderland, opened in Eastern Creek, Sydney, Australia. Officially inaugurated by Premier Neville Wran, the park was the largest in the southern hemisphere at that time. (en.wikipedia.org) It featured themed areas such as Goldrush, Medieval Faire (later renamed Old Botany Bay), and Hanna-Barbera Land, which was rethemed to Nickelodeon Splat City in 1995. (future-ideas.fandom.com) The park's flagship ride was The Bush Beast, the largest wooden roller coaster in Australia. (future-ideas.fandom.com) After 18 years of operation, Wonderland Sydney closed its doors on 26 April 2004. (en.wikipedia.org) The site was subsequently redeveloped into a business park known as Interchange Park. (en.wikipedia.org)
